Amazing Shanghai Promotion Activities Successfully Launched at the Ontario Airport
This exhibition showcased the growth, trends and technological development in Shanghai. Four photographers that were featured were American including Pulitzer Prize winner Nick Ut, so this gave Americans a first person point of view from another American with how they viewed Shanghai. This event also featured “Flying over Shanghai” a virtual reality film to experience the development of Shanghai from a first person point of view.Ontario, CA, June 12, 2017 – “Amazing Shanghai” city image promotion officially kicked off at Ontario International Airport on June 7th, 2017. Over a hundred guests attended the opening ceremony and later visited the “Shanghai, City of Innovation” Photo Exhibition.
Curt Hagman, San Bernardino County Supervisor and Ontario International Airport Authority Committee Member, Josie Gonzalez, San Bernardino County Supervisor, Lushan Sun, Deputy Consul-General of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Los Angeles were among the dignitaries.
China’s first aerial virtual reality film “Flying over Shanghai” was played at the opening ceremony. While wearing virtual reality glasses guests in attendance “traveled” across the ocean to fly above the Huangpu River and have a first-person experience of charming Shanghai.
The photography exhibition showcased 80 pieces by American and International photographers which gave a well-rounded perspective of how everyone views Shanghai differently. The images were showcasing the latest development, trends and scientific development of Shanghai. Some of the works included Pulitzer Prize winner Nick Ut and Pulitzer Prize winner Huang Gongwu.
The “Amazing Shanghai” City Image Promotion was hosted by the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality and Shanghai Pudong New Area People’s Government was co-organized by Zhangjiang Hi-Tech District Management Committee and EDI Media Inc. of United States.
“Amazing Shanghai” City Image promotional activities were also successfully hosted at three historical public libraries in Los Angeles County – South Pasadena City Library, Pasadena City Library and the West Covina City Library for a month long photography exhibition. The exhibitions feature 80 photographic works, revolving around the latest development of Shanghai and the theme of the scientific center, displaying the newest trends and scientific development of Shanghai to the American public.
